The US Embassy in Tirana warns citizens: Do not use visa application agencies, apply yourselves, protect yourself

The United States Embassy in Tirana has made an important announcement for all Albanian citizens aiming to apply for American visas. Through a social networking post, the embassy has warned citizens not to rely on agencies or mediators for the application process.

“Do not rely on an agency to meet your application correctly. Errors could lead to rejection of your application, and granting false information may prevent your future trip,”, says the report, Periscope.

The embassy stresses that the only official and safe way to apply is through the embassy's own official page and that this service is offered free.

The US “Embassy in Tirana is the only official source of US visa information in Albania, and we offer it for free”, the announcement concludes.
