The continuation of the Kosovo Assembly Constituent session will be held today at 12:00.
This decision has been made known by a release published on the official page of the Parliament.
Such a session was held on Tuesday, about 11:00 p.m., but it was interrupted after approximately two hours, because MPs failed to approve the provisional Commission's report on verification of mandates and quorums, a report that would pave the way for new MPs to swear.
Against this report, opposition parties voted, the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) and the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) respectively. According to them, members of the government who have been elected MPs have had to resign officially before, so that they can swear as part of the new parliamentary composition.
On the other hand, deputies of the Vetevendosje Movement (LVV) -- incumbent Prime Minister Albin Kurti's party -- have defended the stance that further resignation is not necessary, stressing that the government has entered automatic resignations after its mandate ends on 23 March.
Following the vote, the head of the session, Avni Dehari, interrupted it, warning that he would address President Vjosa Osmani with a letter seeking clarification on the next steps in the process of verifying the mandates and beginning the ninth legislature./Pericopi/
