CNN: Trump sʹmming from the tariff stand, it seems he intends to withdraw

Chaos and the fear caused by his commercial struggle have only made him more stubborn in believing that the world's largest economy is the victim of deceitful rivals who are determined to exorcise it.

Trump said on Monday he is open to trade talks with power like Japan and Israel. The possibility of early negotiations did not repeat last week's giant losses on American markets.

 

But he also threatened to raise China's quantum tariffs to more than 100% a move that could lead to large price increases for American buyers for products such as iPhones, computers and toys.

He also hinted that former American friends in the European Union are incompatible opponents with whom there can never be a fair deal. /Periscope
