According to the announcement, the friendship and partnership between Kosovo and the United Kingdom, with particular emphasis on political co-operation, institutional assistance and support for the youth and empowerment of women in politics, was highly praised.
On the other hand, Citaku expressed her gratitude for the continued contribution of the United Kingdom to building democratic institutions in Kosovo.
We are deeply grateful for the strong partnership with the United Kingdom. Their support has been vital in our journey towards strengthening the rule of law and democratic development. Meetings like this give us the opportunity to deepen co-operation and build new bridges of friendship and understanding”, Citaku said.
The British delegation took an interest in current political developments in the country, the challenges of youth and the empowerment of women in decision-making institutions, expressing readiness for further co-operation.
“The Democratic Party of Kosovo remains committed to deepening international reports and strengthening ties with Kosovo strategic allies”, the report said.
At this meeting, Citaku was accompanied by Democratic Youth Speaker and newly elected MP Arbnor Salihu, as well as President Memli Krasniqi's cabinet chief, Ardian Arifaj.
