From bread to coffee, prices fly before electricity becomes expensive

A bread is sold for 80 cents in one of Pristina's furnaces, while two weeks ago it cost 60 cents.

A coffee shop in the capital, however, suggests that by the beginning of May, machiato will cost 50 cents more.

Upgrade prices from businesses are causing citizens to complain. They say that compared to their income, prices are becoming unaffordable.

On the other hand, the business association says this approach stems from the effects of expensive electricity, which forces them to increase prices.

Kosovo's team, has visited several furnaces in Pristina, which behind the cameras said do not rule out the possibility of changing the price, due to new electricity tariffs.

For example, compared with the Western world of Germany, Switzerland, many articles in Kosovo are more expensive than outside.
