Brahimaj has talked about political events in the country as it is of the constitution.
The AAK MP said they are ready for new elections, whenever they are decided, as the cause of the first party's blocking of the Parliament.
The first day, David Haradinaj has told him that the elections will be a solution, so the Alliance is ready for early, extraordinary elections as it will be”, he has said.
Brahimaj has also been asked about the possibility of going to elections with any other party or coalition, but, according to the likelihood, he has said this will not happen.
Of course, this subject should be talked to the structure level, not just to speak to myself, this subject has not yet been discussed if we are willing. Of course before going to the elections we do an analysis, but the Alliance is ready for election and will probably go as the only”, Brahimaj said.
Lahi Brahimaj in this interview has also spoken of the AAK's favour towards Fatmir Limaj's NISMA, who competed together in past national elections.
Brahimaj has stressed that Limaj rushed out and said he is willing to talk to anyone, despite the total goal of Kurt's collapse and not joining it.
“T saw a hurry and a warning, it's not about once going to negotiate with PDK or LDK, but throughout the campaign we asked for an exit vote, for Mr. Kurti's departure, and if you see Mr. Limaj's vocabulary during the campaign, it was even tougher than Mr. Haradinaj's to Kurti, and without any warning, you hear it in a media saying I'm willing to sit down. If he went to talk to the PDK, the LDK for the formation of the opposition government no one would be humbled and no resentment. But it was a 100 percent shift in position overnight, and you have all seen Mr. Kurti's language towards opposition and voters. A leader who has been the winner of the preliminary elections and now received a majority in the prime minister's position addresses the whole opposition with that vocabulary, and since the first day you approach him in the ministry, it is surprising”, Brahimaj said.
Brahimaj: Limaj was very tough with Kurt in the campaign, but changed 100% stance.
The AAK MP has said he will support an opposition government in any form, only to step down Kurti.
“I believe and support an opposition government in any form, only for Kurti to go into opposition and work with the US and the EU”, he said.
Among other things, Brahimaj said the chairman of NISMA, Fatmir Limaj, has realised that Albin Kurti does not keep his word.
It's true I heard it, but Mr. Limaj, in all previous sessions, spoke a little differently. Likely, what he said yesterday relates to the fact that the last meeting did not end well and apparently, he realized that Albin Kurti is not keeping his word”.
He stressed that the demand for a consensual name has also been made clear by Ramush Haradinaj and the rest of the opposition.
“If the incumbent prime minister does not have 61 votes, he should negotiate with other parties and find a more together, not divisive figure”, he said.
According to him, although the Constitution recognises the right to the first party to propose the Speaker of the Parliament, the requirement is that the name be not only in the service of a party, but have a broader support.
No one is asking the name to come from another party. We are demanding that the candidate be acceptable to more than a political grouping, so that the responsibility for delays will not fall on the opposition, but on the first party”, he said.
Referring to past political developments, he recalled that on no side of the elections Vetevendosje has voted the majority candidate for Parliament Speaker.
When Kadri Veseli was chosen, Albin Kurti went to the speaker and said: ) Chu Kadri matu, you don't have the numbers. Today, it's the same situation”, Brahimaj said.
According to him, it is the winning party's duty to secure the necessary support for its candidate.
“If it does not have 61 votes, it should negotiate and propose a name of compromise. As an alternative, Mr Haradinaj has offered two names that could be discussed”, he said.
Vetevendosje is not wanting to create institutions because it does not have numbers, but is not negotiating to find another name.
According to him, the AAK has proposed two names it can vote on, but there may be another name within Vetevendosje that is respected and can get 61 votes.
We're not saying we belong to the post of Speaker of the Parliament, but if they need votes, they need to talk to secure them. Chairman Haradinaj and we have provided an option as a compromise name, proposing two fair women, since they have proposed a woman. We have nominated Albanian Selimi and Saranda Bogujevci for chairman of the Parliament. For us, compromising pictures would be these two names. However, if discussed, it may be another name, but it may not be a woman who, if you see her, for four years has left nothing without saying against any political figure of the opposition,” he has said.
Brahimaj has declared that procrastinating Vetevendosje is because once they choose the Speaker of the Parliament, they don't have votes for Government.
They're not interested in providing the numbers, they've never tried to talk to anyone. At one of the sessions, I may err, Albulen himself, a candidate, was not present to vote himself. It means, every session has missed any Vetevendosje deputy. Of course they know they don't have the numbers for Government and they're taking a test with the election of the Speaker of the Parliament. In fact, the moment 61 votes are secured for the Parliament chairman, they estimate they have them for the prime minister,” the AAK deputy said.
