After completing the initial review at the Foundation Court of Peja in case known as “The baby in the washing machine”, for the first time, spoke publicly to the baby's grandfather, who expressed the family's pain.
In a statement to the media, he said that Pec General Hospital had tried to hide the story, not informing the family of the baby's death at all.
We have not received any notice from the hospital, we have learned from the media alone,” he said.
He described the moment when they received the lifeless body: “Fettus has been torn out of a bag. A view I'd like no one. It was a tremendous shock to the entire family”.
The case, which occurred in December 2022, shocked public opinion when it revealed that the baby born without signs of life was accidentally wrapped up in a washing machine along with the sheets, under still unclear circumstances.
