Anti-Trump protesters gather in Washington, other American cities

About 1,200 protests are scheduled across the US to be held Saturday in what organisers expect to be the biggest day of protests against President Donald Trump and his billionaire ally, Elon Musk since they launched a quick attempt to change the government and expand authority [...]
Thousands of people were heading toward downtown Washington as the protests began under the dark and rainy skies. Organisers told Reuters that more than 20,000 people were expected to attend the National Mall rally.
The US protests will give Trump's opponents an opportunity to demonstrate their dissatisfaction massively in response to executive orders issued by Trump.
About 150 activist groups are registered to participate, according to the site of the event. Protests are planned in all 50 countries plus Canada and Mexico.
Protesters lined up on the busy road of Connecticut Avenue in Washington, waiting for buses to be taken to the city's centre. They carried banners with slogans such as “not kings in the United States” and “Deport Music. /Periscopi/
