Analysts in Tirana say Kosovo at political crossroads after elections

Analysts from Albania, Fatos Lubonja, Mentor Nazarko and Andy Bushati have talked about the situation in Kosovo, with emphasis on the post-election situation, respectively, forming the government. Fatos Lubonja said the situation after the February 9th elections has put in second place which party has been most voted on in relation to [the...] problem.

Fatos Lubonja said the situation after the February 9th elections has put in second place which party has been most voted into relation to the problem of creating a stable government, especially in the context of Kosovo in relation to Serbia and the international one.

“The main sensitivity that was created behind these elections is that I see this huge rift, where in a Vetvendosje wing it requires, more or less, the single government, because I've recently seen that there are several attempts, and the other side is the opposition with the 2-3 parties that don't seem to have enough, in my opinion, a situation that is on the horizon, that is the risks facing Kosovo, in relation to international relations, that necessarily require a government to be beyond the ego of all these parties, that has a focus on this particular matter, the Lubon said.

“Now is one thing even stronger than the situation when Kurti was four years ago in the sense of risks posed to Kosovo”, said Lubonja, in RTK, broadcast Periscope.

The large percentage of votes won by LVV, Andy Bushati, did not link him to the radicalised situation with Serbia, because, according to him, a government gets votes even to the satisfaction of voters' expectations.

If we are caught four years ago, the VV has a decline, but if the factors that have influenced the plebiscitary victory four years ago, Vetevendosje has yet received a maximum result that the party rarely received in Kosovo. This maximum result, in addition to others, comes as a consequence of either the defence or patriotic aloole of the conflict with Serbia, but would not necessarily let Kurti Government over 50%x1>, Bushati said.

The “So if there are any sustainable factors that have determined this excellent outcome of it, it is this kind of counter-tight against Serbia. I call it an excellent result because VV has had to face all political parties, the US, the EU, and that's because it bribed the clash with Serbia”, Nazarko said.

Regarding forming the government, Lubonja said this could be achieved through negotiations.

“It's not a problem about what happens on April 15th, it's about what we're going to do with creating a platform, especially about foreign policy, that there's not going to be contradictions here, as long as there's going to be problems in our work, but the problem is whether Albin Kurti has this idea, or does he thinks it's the next skender of Albania's policies, it's a problem he has to overcome, I think he seems to have a difficult one, but he needs to do it especially when he can take power, until Lubonne said, until he added how much power to see the parties in some way that they have to get closer and they're able to do it. “I don't see Kosovo mature for this”, he underlined.

So there's a kind of pragmatism, but also a lack of transparency. But the problem is, even if they make 61 deputies along with non-Serb minorities will the VV have a strong government? Will he resist the gap after eight months of presidential crisis? Can he resist a pressure like he had before signing with Serbia to make concessions, so in all cases it would be a weak government”, Bushati said.

And Nazarko said Kosovo does not have the luxury of entering a cycle of weak governments or short-term government.

Lubonja, in turn, said that in foreign policies, especially, a solution should have been found, not necessarily what Kurt wants.

Until Bushat intervened, telling him how they can be in common when one tells him that the agreement to divide or exchange territories should be signed, the other tells you to sign the Association Agreement, as Europe puts it.

Lubonne regarding the north said that we can change a little attitude regarding the north, how it should be treated, until Bushat, in turn, said that it should not be dealt with theoretically, while mentioning Banjska and Radojciqi.

So all the incidents that have occurred in the north are due to the collapse of Kosovo's reports with the West. Serbia saw that Kosovo weakened because of breaking relations with the West and built an incident that was proof of whether it could push” ahead, Nazarko said. /Periscope/
