52 votes have been insufficient to pass the Commission's report on Verification of mandates. Opposition parties have called on Kurti and his ministers to respect the law and resign formally from their positions in order to receive the MP's mandate.
This has initially led to a pause and later to a break in the session, to later consult President Vjosa Osmani on how to proceed further.
While deputy Avni Dehari has announced the end of the session, his colleague from LVV and former head of South Mitrovica, Agim Bahtiri, has begun applauding.
Since there has been no reason for applause, MP Arber Rexhaj, who has been sitting in the Assembly in front of Bahtiri, has returned and looked at him in amazement as he applauds.
