Following the March 11th and March 26th demonstrations, on April 1st and April 2, 1981, the largest political demonstrations from youth at that time were organised in Pristina, demonstrations marking the beginning of the Yugoslav Federation's destruction.
With the demands of Kosovo Republic, we want Freedom, Equality, Justice, We want the Union, to free political prisoners, and with many other demands, all Kosovo Albanian people and beyond, later organised demonstrations from youth even in other Kosovo cities.
These demonstrations are also considered a nationalistic spirit for the creation of independent national states.
The 1981 demonstrations, March 11, and then March 24, as well as April 1 and 2, took place with full mass, finally including students and the working class at the time.
