First 100 days of Trump: A Dramatic Turn Towards Inquiry

In just 100 days of his second term, Donald Trump has turned the Ovale Office into a golden <x0-cafaz”, filled with baroque reflections, golden figures, portraits of former American presidents and other symbols of absolute power. But beyond outward appearance, real transformation took place in the way [...]
But beyond outward appearance, real transformation occurred in the way he leads the country, at an alarming pace that has shaken the very foundations of American democracy.
At a record time, Trump has used the executive power to challenge Congress, justice, media, public health and the American culture itself.
Still angered by the loss in 2020 and criminal punishment in 2024, he has launched a revenge regime targeting controversial critics, prosecutors, media and institutions.
For many Americans, these 100 days have been a blow to their own political and national identity.
A Government on Absolute Loyalty
Trump's new cabinet is no longer made up of experienced figures that restrain the president but by loyal devotion to him.
Instead of Vice President Mike Pence, there's now JD Vance, a tough insolute. And at the top of the Pentagon is no longer an experienced general, but former Fox News host Pete Hegseth. This new compound has created an environment where Trump's impulses are not challenged but spur action, reports the report. The Guardian, broadcast Periscope.
Leon Panetta, former head of staff at the White House and former defence secretary, warns that the lack of “safe roads” and the presence of a cabinet made up of loyalty alone can cause tremendous damage to the country, especially if economic crises are the only thing preventing the president.
Big projects, the biggest chaos
Trump had four years to plan the return, through the project “Project 202518x1> from the Heritage conservative foundation. But even though his agenda was clear, implementation has been chaotic. The clashes in the cabinet, internal leaks and non-coordination, especially at the Pentagon, have damaged its efficiency.
On the one hand, figures like Russ Wought had almost a detailed plan to transform the administration. Trump, on the other hand, has accompanied this with thoughtless decisions and structural disabilities that have paralyzed key agencies such as the Department of Justice and Defence.
Musk, efficiency and destruction of institutions
One of the most talked about moves was the appointment of Elon Musk as head of the government's “Efficiency Department” (Doge). With philosophy “moving quickly and destroying everything”, Musk has fired hundreds of officials, closed scientific programmes and educational institutions, even hospitals that dealt with war veterans. He has called the social security system “the biggest ever-authentication” and has demanded his removal.
But this “Efficiency” has led the country towards economic turmoil. A poll by ABC News, Washington Post and Ipsos found that 72% of Americans believe Trump's economic policies could bring a near recession. Only 39% approve the way he is leading the country the lowest percentage for an American president in the last 80 years.
Migration, Revenge, and Cultural War
Trump has significantly hardened immigration policies, using a 1798 law to deport foreigners without judicial procedures, and has sent suspected Venezuelans as gang members to a mass prison in Salvador. It has also proposed lifting citizenship for US-borns and providing “gold cards” for the rich they want. /Periscope/
