Russia must stop making unnecessary “war-dragging requests, Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky told EU leaders at today's summit.
“Putin should stop making unnecessary demands that only prolong the war and must start fulfilling what it promises to the world”, Zelensky says through video-phone, writes BBC, broadcast Express.
It urges the world to continue pressure on Putin because “one moment they give their word and hours later that doesn't mean anything”.
Zelensky also says sanctions against Moscow must stay in force “until Russia begins to withdraw from our land and fully compensate for the damage caused by its assault”.
Speaking at a press conference, Zelensky rejected Russia's conditions for a possible peace agreement and says the removal from Ukraine's NATO membership table is a “great gift to Russia”./Periscopi/
