“Ukrainian has sought peace since the first second of this war. Realistic proposals are on the table,” the Ukrainian president said in an X post.
Zelensky announced he will visit Saudi Arabia for talks with the Crown Prince, but will not stay for meetings with US government representatives. The Ukrainian delegation will include Foreign Minister Andriy Syhbika.
Next week I will begin with a visit to Saudi Arabia. After my meeting with the Crown Prince Monday, Ukrainian diplomatic and military representatives will stay for a meeting Tuesday with the American team. The Ukrainian team will include Andriy Yermak, Andriy Syzbia, Rustem Umero and Pavlo Palisa”, wrote Zelensky.
Talks come at a moment after the US has suspended military aid and intelligence sharing.
The suspension of co-operation came after a tense meeting between Zelensky and US President Donald Trump in Washington a week ago.
Trump further reinforced his criticism of Zelensky on Friday, saying it could be the easiest “to reach an agreement with Moscow than with Kiev for efforts to end the three-year war.
