The Food and Veterinary Agency has decided to ban the importation of living animals and their products originating from Slovakia.
This after the outbreak of disease Episomatics. That's how it was made known through a media report.
Food and Veterinary Agency has acknowledged information that animal disease has erupted in Hungary's state Episomatics. According to the official announcement in the ADIS notice system Animals Diseases Information System of the EU, in the state of Slovakia in the border area with Hungary, respectively, we have an outbreak of disease Episomatics Agent FMD. So based on the Terrestial Code of Animal Health, WHO chapter 8.8, the EU Law of Animal Health and the Veterinary Law 21/2004, the measure of animal import ban (s, sheep, goats and pigs) and their products from the entire state of Slovakia) is put on hold.
Furthermore, it has become known that the Episomatic Aft is a viral disease, with the possibility of fast spreading.
It affects twin animals and causes serious economic damage. This infectious disease affects domestic animals (herbs, sheep, goats, pigs), and wild ruts (druns, deer), and pigs. Clinical signs of the disease - fever and the formation of bubbles that are located in the mucoze of the mouth, the breast, the gray crown, and the space between the claws. Episomatic Environment Disease poses no danger to people's health, economic character in production and trade bans are said further in the announcement.
It has also become known that in the event of confirmation of the disease presence, Kosovo has its inspection capacities prepared for its control./Periscopi/
