The Witness says that the accused Jolick had been torturing him for about 20 minutes along with others

At the retrial hearing Tuesday at the Pristina Constitutional Court, in the trial against Istog war crimes indictee Caslav Joliq, witness Zef Malsi said it was Joliq along with four others who, during the war, on March 23rd 1998, had been beaten with kicks and boxing for about 20 minutes. [...]
I've got one of my hands, Joliqi's right hand and left hand Dula Peqinoviqi in front of the journalists, and three others have shot me with their backs and that torture lasted 20 minutes. Regarding this situation, faced by the defender of indictee Joliq, lawyer Miodrag Brkljaq, why he said he was hit by the strongest in Dula and not Joliq, the witness said he could have been written incorrectly by police.

He said he identified Joliqi after having had him as a neighbor, who in his own question of knowing someone else from the accused's family, Malta said no.

Malsias also explained that another abuse he had suffered from the accused Joliq was about to reach the police station in the village of Gurakoc of Istog, which said Joliq had kicked his feet while sitting in the station.

This hearing also included Naim Ferati, who confessed the two - man abuse that he had suffered and who claimed to have beaten him and then dragged him for about 200 meters.
Ferati, for accused Joliq, said the first time he saw him was when he came to court and that he didn't know him before, for lawyer Brklic said he was surprised that he was invited to give the testimony Ferati when he doesn't know Joliqi at any moment.
Then the session was interrupted with the conclusion of the working hours to follow through on the days of listening to other witnesses.
Otherwise, on June 10, 2024, the Constitutional Court in Pristina had sentenced defendant Joliq to eight years in prison for war crimes in the city of Istog. But, the Court of Appeals on November 4th, 2024, has turned the case against him into retrial.
Otherwise, the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo (PSRK) on November 18th, 2022, has filed charges against defendants Caslav Jolic with the argument that during the time of the Kosovo war, in co-ordination with other people, violating the rules of international law, applied torture measures and causing great suffering or violation of body integrity or civil health that have not directly participated in conflicts for reasons related to the war.
