We can't normalize this situation. We can't keep quiet. The state has to wake up. Institutions must act urgently. The strictest control of weapons, the strengthening of order, and the justice of noncompromis these are not just politics, but life and death issues. ” Periscope
Full response:
Within just three days, four lives were extinguished by Kosovo firearms. A young woman, a young man, and two men each with a story, dreams, families that are now in constant pain. These are not mere statistics. These are stolen lives, destroyed families and a society that continues to witness tragedies without any decisive state action.
How many more lives must we lose to admit that this is a national emergency? How many other families must be destroyed to realize that easy access to weapons and the state's failure to act decisively is a lethal combination?
Uncertainty has engulfed our country. A feeling of fear and uncertainty has taken root in society, making the lives of citizens burdened with anxiety and fear of tomorrow. No one should live in fear that an illegal weapon could take his life at any moment, on the street, at home or at his place of employment.
We can't normalize this situation. We can't keep quiet. The state has to wake up. Institutions must act urgently. The strictest control of weapons, the strengthening of order, and the justice of noncompromis these are not just politics, but life and death issues.
The Democratic Party of Kosovo, in the new legislature, after consolidating institutions and the new government, will initiate changing the Penal Code and relevant legislation to toughen penalties for illegal weapons. Anyone who owns or uses weapons illegally must face prison without exception. Kosovo cannot be a place where human life loses value.
It's time to clear up. It's time to choose life. The Deepest Comfort of Victims' Families!
