Ymer, says citizens have given up the adventures of Prime Minister Kurti, as he said they pose major risks to democracy and institutional integrity.
“I think that the result is more or less marketed by a different mood of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo, in these elections because we have no small punishment for the party that has ruled Kosovo for the past four years, so for LVV and Chief Prime Minister Kurti. I think that this punishment is mostly related to domestic governance so the widespread lack of results in terms of internal governance and then even Kurt's political behavior in general during governance and particularly during the campaign, this arrogance, polarisation, lack of accountability, stubbornness and a punishment from citizens. Another thing that shows the result is that after we tried a government by one party, I think citizens of the Republic collectively gave up on such adventures as this because it poses great risks both for democracy and for institutional integrity and political life in general”, he said.
He also adds that the Vetevendosje Movement, it is the one that has had the most in this election, while the two parties that are victorious under it are. PDK and LDK.
Umer says that because of the equal position of LVV, it can cost them power loss.
“This could be transformed in some cases, victory and defeat, I think LVV is the one that's mostly per cent, but also in relation to expectations and projections that they have during the campaign that required 500 thousand votes and governing Kosovo alone, while the two parties I think have come off victorious during elections in terms of increasing votes but also of ebilating another policymaking have been the ones that have been The PDK and the LDK both are behind the much-focused co-operation campaign on the programme behind extremely detailed programmes, have properly unveiled them, and that has managed to affect a considerable part of voters. Normally, if we take the LV is the largest party has won 40 per cent depending on what the final outcome will be, and it will have the first opportunity to create the government, but because of their shepherding position, it can cost them the loss of power and then of course those parties that ultimately create the government and vote in the Assembly will be the winner of the”, Ymer said.
Among other things, he says Kosovo citizens have shown that they do not support an approach like by Prime Minister Kurti, over living in Kosovo, where there are very big promises and expectations from LVV.
He emphasises that it is the first time in Kosovo that we have a party with all this power that emerges in the elections and shows no programme, adding that the entire election campaign has done it by accusing others.
I think that on one side Kosovo's citizens have the market that does not support such an approach to life in Kosovo, there are very high promises and expectations of LVV in terms of economic development, increased employment a more equal wealth distribution system, an intensification of the fight against corruption and organised crime, and none of them have been met by LVV. These are some of the points that I think citizens have expected to be much better than LVV and on the other side are disappointing when they weren't better”, he said.
And let's not forget that LVV came to power in 2021 with an extremely big promise, that governance in Kosovo will change and transform radically, while during governance it has not been much, in some respects it has been much more harmful, more subtle and more unprepared to make decisions to complete projects. This is what I think is costing LVV and Kurt votes, on the other hand, his polarizing behavior, the attacks he's made against the judge, against the media, to anyone who didn't think he was a judge. A rise in disappointment to Kurt and the way he's been brought up has also been present during the campaign, many people who may have thought whether to vote or not, during the campaign have decided that by all means we can't move forward with such an approach, so LVV is the first time in Kosovo that we have a party with all that capacity or with all the power that comes up in the election and doesn't reveal when the election campaign is made up by chess and by acususing the other”, Ymer concluded for the newspaper Blic.
