Trump: Zelensky accept agreement to end conflict

Europe is trying to take on a leading role in efforts to end the war in Ukraine as US President Donald Trump on Monday interrupted all military assistance for Kiev. Recent developments, especially after the fierce debate at the White House last week, have attracted the attention of major capitals in almost all parts of the world, reports the Voice of America.

Concerns over Ukraine have increased in Europe, as the world deals with the consequences of the meeting held last week at the White House.

The harsh discussion between President Donald Trump and Ukrainian leader Voldomyr Zelensky did not sign the agreement on rare Ukrainian minerals. President Trump says the agreement is of crucial importance to continuing US support for Kiev.

On Monday, the president said that if Ukraine wants to survive, President Zelensky must be ready for peace.

“We need to make a deal and it can be done very soon. I believe Russia wants to make a deal. I believe that the people of Ukraine want to make a deal”, President Trump said.

President Trump also reacted sharply to the social network ʹTroth] against President Zelensky's statement that war could continue much longer. Russia began aggression in Ukraine in 2022.

However, leaders of the two countries at war repeated their messages, showing how far they are in this conflict that has blocked Europe for three years.

“Kina is not part of the crisis in Ukraine, but we support all efforts that help achieve a peaceful solution. We hope that all interested parties will find a lasting solution dealing with each other's concerns”, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said.

The White House confirmed that it has increased pressure, saying the Trump administration “is stopping and reviewing our assistance (for Ukraine) to ensure that it is contributing to a solution”.

President Trump also warned of an important future announcement for Ukraine.
