Speaking to this page during an interview aboard Air Force One, Trump said he is concerned that the conflict could lead to “World War III”, writes The Guardian, broadcasts Periscope.
He said: “
I think it's kind of under control. I have a good relationship with President Putin and, in fact, a good relationship with President Zelensky”.
That would be great if we could stop it. And I'm gonna say this, nobody else would have been able to do it”.
Trump said he developed “rational accuracy” with Putin and that only the president of the United States can stop him.
He added: “
We've had some very rational discussions and I just want people to stop killing. They are losing 2,500 young people a week, both Russian and Ukrainian”.
