From tomorrow, platform “TikTok” will not work in Albania, following the government's decision to close it.
In this case, the National Authority for Cyber Security managed by AKEP has made today a call to internet companies to block access to this app in Albania.
The AKEP calls for blocking KEKTok's servers on the territory of the Republic of Albania, in carrying out the official decision by the government.
The National Authority for Cyberetic Security has called for taking the necessary measures to block access to the Tik Tok app by taking action as the blogging of TikTok's IPs, the blocking of TikTok's DNS, the ENI's block (Servername Inciations) and the IP blocking of the ByteDance Company.
Under the order, each operator/sypire that offers/rejective electronic communications services under the general authorisation regime must respect restrictions on designated transmissions with illegal or harmful content from AKS.
Also, each contractor (ISP), should submit written confirmation to AKEP and know A KSK, for the closure of IP access and domains cited in the AKSC letter, within March 13th 2025.
AKEP Notification:
National Authority for Cyber Security (AKSK) with script No. 1196 prot, 1003.2025 (administration of AKEP by No. 319/2 prot., the 1003.2025 date, has called for taking the necessary measures to block access to the T app IK TOK and its digital infrastructure on Albanian territory, taking the following actions:
TikTok's IPlock on Albanian territory.
Blocking TikTok's DNS on Albania's territory.
SNI's Block (Server Name Inciations) on Albania's territory.
Blocking IPs of the ByteDance company on Albania's territory.
AKSC is quoted as the legal basis (The Council of Ministers' Decision No. 151 date 6.3.2025) and the list of all IPs and domains required to block access.
Based on the letter c), Article 2 of Article 30 of law No. 54/2024 “For E-communications in the Republic of Albania” and Volume 1, Article 9, and Article 9. 47 dates 26.10.2017 “for the implementation of the General Authorisation regime”, any operator/syperging that provides e-communication services under the general authorization regime, must respect restrictions on illegally defined or harmful transmissions by AKS.
As far as we can go, we follow the KSF letter.
