Shmyhal calmed Ukrainian citizens, saying the army currently has the weapons and means needed to hold the front lines despite suspension of aid.
The prime minister announced that Ukraine will continue to co-operate with the United States through all available diplomatic channels. He underlined that his country is willing to sign the mineral agreement with the US, which would enable the United States access to Ukraine's rare mineral deposits, writes Euronews.
The prime minister invited the American side for signing the agreement, underlining that US military assistance is “critical for Ukraine to save thousands of lives. He said Ukraine is very determined to continue co-operating with the US in achieving a lasting peace.
Shmyhal thanked the US for continued support over the past three years and called their assistance <x0-cymetic”> for Ukraine.
He also expressed gratitude to Europe for the support and praised plans announced by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen for an additional 800mm euros in financing for European defence.
