The US said Wednesday it has suspended sharing intelligence information with Ukraine, disrupting the delivery of vital data that has helped it target the Russian conqueror. However, administration officials Trump have said positive talks between Washington and Kiev imply the suspension could be brief.
American intelligence information is vital to Ukraine in its efforts to track Russian troops' movements and select targets.
Minister Lecornu said France is continuing sharing intelligence information with Ukraine.
Our “intelligence indicators are sovereign. Ukraine can benefit from our intelligence information”, he added, Euronews reports.
The US made the decision after the dramatic deterioration of reports between Kiev and Washington. US President Donald Trump, and Ukrainian Voldymyr Zelensky crashed in the Oval Office last week, and after that, the US announced it has suspended substantial military assistance for Ukraine.
U.S. Central Intelligence Agency Director (CIA) John Ratcliffe confirmed on Wednesday that intelligence sharing has been frozen, as Ukraine continues to fight against the invasion Russia started in 2022.
