Special Court states: Sjka neither demand nor public decision that Hashim Thaci be granted permission to attend Father's funeral

The Hague Special Court has said that there is currently neither a public request nor a public decision by any judge regarding former President Hashim Thaci's possible release to attend his father's funeral ceremony today in the Scikyright Bureau, writes the newspaper Express. So said the spokesman for the chambers [...]
So said Special Chambers spokesman Michael Doyle, saying the Special releases all public documents on the Court page.
“All public documents, including parachutes from the Protection and Decisions of Judges, are published on the Special Chambers website. Currently, there are no demands or public decisions on this matter”, Doyle said.
He has added that until today, the Specialised Chambers have managed 13 visits to Kosovo for the detainees.
“So far, the KSC has managed 13 supervised visits to Kosovo to pre-burgers”, Doyle has said of Express, broadcast Periscope.
Former President Hashim Thaci's father will be buried today at 1500 p.m. in the Skyeraj Bureau.
Hashim Thaci after several attempts and refusal had managed to obtain permission to visit his father, Haxhi Thaci, on March 13th 2025, while the latter was lying at the University Clinical Centre in Pristina.
Yesterday's KLA OVL has indicated that Hashim Thaci will be allowed by the Special to attend his father's funeral. This has prompted numerous reactions, including Kosovo Justice Minister Albulen Haxhiu, who has indicated that I will write special paper to complain. Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has also reacted, whose stance has been distributed by US emissary Richard Green.
Rama has declared that the Special Court has turned international justice into a farce, democratic rights in empty words, and the will of the Kosovo Parliament into a boomerang.
