Shaip Kamberi writes the letter to Vucciki: We do not participate in consultations on forming new government

The only Albanian MP in Serbia's parliament, Shaip Kamberi, has written the letter to Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq.

Through this letter, he has announced that I will not participate in the consulate to establish the new government.

I ignored the president that I do not see fit to be part of a false process of democracy, just to fulfill the form, while my countrymen remain extremely discriminated against in the state system in the last 13 years. ” wrote, publishing complete letter as well.

Mr. President,

On behalf of the electoral list “The Albanian political Beate continues é Shaip Kamberi”, which in this composition of the Republican Parliament has an MP as representative of the Albanian community in Serbia, I announce that, for the first time in the history of our parliamentary representation, we will not participate in the planned consultations on forming the new government.

Albanian MPs over the years have participated in consultations, which -- conform local legislation -- holds the president of the state, with all parliamentary lists providing representation warrants in the Republican Parliament.

As in 2012, even in 2014, 2016, 2020, 2022 and 2024, Albanian MP or MP, state presidents, in written form, have presented the legitimate requirements of the Albanian population as the necessity for improving and advancing Albanian position in the Republic of Serbia.

Since 2014, the demands of Albanians are largely based on the document known as “Plan seven points of”, which all Albanian political subjects had compiled at the time.

The same political platform, dubbed right and compiled in the context of domestic legislation and European standards, was approved by the government of Serbia in 2013.

From then on until now, beyond our political and institutional efforts, no government led by you and the political subject that you have long run has seen no reason to co-operate with Albanian representatives for the realization of our legitimate requirements.

a. Posting Albanians continues today;b. Disrecognition of our students, who have completed studies in the Universities of the Republic of Kosovo, continues to be the main reason for the massive departure of young Albanians from Presevo Valley;c. The doors of public institutions continue to remain closed for Albanians, and their employment through these institutions is still impossible;d. Hate speech (even though you personally had promised to engage in its prevention) is continuing to remain part of the daily communication of senior state representatives with Albanians, while. Presevo, Bujanovac and Medvedja are continuing to remain the most underdeveloped municipalities in Serbia.f. Doctors who had worked at the Presevo Health House during the Padre 19 pandemic, beyond the Government's direction that they should be employed with permanent decision, are continuing to remain unemployed, g. The same way that the unemployed have remained Albanian specialised cadres in the police.h. For years not even one Albanian policeman has been employed by local police in Presevo, Bujanoc and Medvedja,

In view of all that I have mentioned and convinced of the deep lack of political will in Belgrade for this position of Albanians to improve substantially and for Albanians to be treated as equal citizens of this state, I announce we will not participate in the initial consultations on the creation of the new government.

The current political crisis in Serbia requires a completely new approach without pressure on those who think otherwise, with full media freedom, with unconditional respect for human rights and national minorities.

I remain committed to the continuation of our political struggle and remain open to talk and co-operate with anyone who, in a serious, sincere, and without calculations, in the spirit of the European Union's fundamentals, will have the willingness to begin fully realising our legitimate requirements.

Until then, I do not see fit to become part of a false process of democracy, as long as I fulfill the form, while my countrymen remain extremely discriminated against in the state system in the last 13 years./Periscopi/
