According to Sefajt, Kurti is using the Serbian List “erification” as an excuse to present himself as a victim, saying that the Serbian List has been certified because we, even though we have over 50% of the vote, have no 20% of representation in the CEC.
The truth is different! The Serbian List, according to Article 18 Law No. 03L-073 for the General Elections, just registered as a political party, has been automatically certified and this is a legal procedure that does not depend on members of the CEC. The CEC is created with a balanced format to ensure its independence: 6 members from larger parliamentary groups and 4 members from non-communal communities, plus the independent leader from the judiciary ranks. This mechanism is designed precisely to prevent any party from controlling the CEC and to manipulate the electoral process”, Sefaj wrote on Facebook.
