The news was confirmed earlier by NATO through a media communique.
On March 11th 2025, the North Atlantic Council, with NATO Secretary General, Mr. Mark Rutte, and NATO Deputy Secretary General Mrs. Radmila Sekerinska will visit KFOR, the NATO-led mission in Kosovo, and the NATO Council and Orders Team (NALT)”, said in the communique.
In the announcement, it becomes known that Secretary Rutte will meet with President Vjosa Osmani and current Prime Minister Albin Kurti.
In addition to ambassadors from the partners contributing troops to KFOR, Rutte will meet with KFOR Commander Major General Enrico Bardoni, and NALT Director Brigadier General Christian Navrat.
Rutte's visit comes weeks after the election process is completed in Kosovo.
He then declared that he expects the formation of a stable and functional government as soon as possible, and that NATO will work with anyone who will lead the country.
