These revised procedures aim to improve co-operation and mutual understanding between the two missions in the context of possible joint operations, in full compliance with their respective mandates as security responsible.
“Close co-operation between KFOR and EULEX serves as an example of effective integration of civil and military efforts to boost security on the ground, boosting stability and peace through increased interoperability”, the report said.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 to contribute to a safe and secure environment for all people and communities living in Kosovo and freedom of movement at any time and impartially. KFOR works in close co-ordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union for Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responsible”, the announcement continues./Periscopi/
