Secretary NATO has also been declared on the election issue in Kosovo, saying that we will see how the new government will be formed.
On the other hand, he has declared that the situation is changing throughout the region, and that he is in intensive communication with Kosovo leaders, but also those of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as with Serbian leader Vucic.
Kosovo is a very important country, where NATO has strong presence through KFOR. It's important that we all engage in this country to be in the best possible situation. There have been elections and we will see how the new government will be formed. All this is part of a normal democratic process, which is good. But throughout the region, the situation is changing. I am in intensive communication, not only with the leaders of Kosovo and with those of Bosnia and Herzegovina, but last week I have also talked with Vuciqi, which next week is expected to be in Brussels soon. So communications are intense for tensions in the region to drop”, Rutte said in an interview for Al Jazeera Balkans.
Otherwise, this is his first visit to Kosovo since taking NATO's lead in October last year. He will be accompanied by ambassadors of the North Atlantic Council.
