Russian President Vladimir Putin has stated that “supports” a 30-day ceasefire with Ukraine, but according to him, “ka things that must be discussed”.
He has said Thursday at a media conference together with Belarusn President Alexander Lukashenko that the ceasefire should lead to lasting peace.
“We agree with the proposal for a ceasefire to cease the hostilities, but we begin from the fact that this ceasefire should lead to a lasting peace and should exclude the root causes of this” crisis, Putin said, The Guardian reported.
According to Putin, the conditions for a ceasefire are to be discussed as to who will give orders to interrupt the hostilities and how much the orders will be worth, who will decide for a ceasefire, and how this phase will last along the Russian-Ukrainian border.
“ ...How will other aspects be addressed along the 2000-mile line of contact? As you know, Russian troops are advancing virtually every section of the contact line and there are all conditions for us to surround large units. So, what would happen during those 30 days? Would this allow Ukraine to continue a forced mobilization, a supply of weapons to Ukraine, so that the newly established units can be trained, or won't that be done?”, he said.
All these issues should be carefully studied by both sides”, Putin added.
Putin has thanked the military forces for the war in Kursk, saying the area is already under his care. He has said that the Ukrainian army has lost the war there, until he added that the remaining soldiers have <x0... ..handdown or death”.
Lukashkenko spoke of friendship with Putin, saying that Europe is trying to deceive them but they will do it because we know our interests”.
According to Belarus's president, if Russia and the United States reach agreement, Ukraine and Europe should also accept it.
