The US deported more than 250 suspected members of the mostly Venezuelan gang in El Salvador, despite an American judge's decision to stop flying Saturday after Donald Trump questioned the Act of Foreign Enemies, a 1798 law designed to be used only in wartime, reports Top Channel, broadcasting Periscope.

El Salvador President Nayb Bukele said 238 members of the Venezuelan band “Tren de Aagua” and 23 members of the MS-13 sausage gang had arrived and were in custody as part of an agreement under which the US would pay the Central American country to keep them at “terrorism” with a capacity of 40,000 persons.

The confirmation came hours after a US federal judge expanded his decision by temporarily blocking the Trump administration by calling on the Act of Foreign Enemy, a wartime authority that allows the president wide-ranging policy and executive action to speed up mass expulsions.

On Friday, Trump called the Foreign Enemy Act to order the expulsions of suspected members of the Venezuelan gang that he has charged with “illegal filmification” in the US. The United States officially appointed Train de Aragu a “foreign terrorist organisation” last month.
