This victory did not come by chance. It is a product of long, hard work, devotion, and sacrifice. Since 2009, I have personally lobbied and talked with the Kenyan authorities to make this day a reality. I went from door to door, office to office, with only one goal to make known the voice and right of the people of Kosovo for freedom, independence and sovereignty.
President William Ruto stood by the word given in 2016” wrote, among other things Pacolli.

Today, Kosovo writes stories!
17 years after Independence, at an extraordinary and memorable ceremony, the Republic of Kenya one of Africa's most important states officially recognised the Republic of Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state!
This recognition is not just a declaration of victory for the state of Kosovo, it is the voice of our freedom that is heard deeply in the heart of Africa! Today, our flag of state proudly rises in Nairobi, and this is evidence that Kosovo moves ahead, powerful and dignified when it is worked and has the will for it!
President William Ruto stuck to the word given in 2016.
He visited Kosovo in 2019 and felt the power and determination of our people. In 2023, during my visit to Nairobi, he took the first step of getting to know our passports. Today, at a grand ceremony, he exclaimed: Kosovo is a country known to Kenya!
This is diplomacy with results. This is Kosovo they respect! This is the victory of our national dignity in the international arena!
I call on the Government of Kosovo to immediately establish diplomatic relations with Kenya and open a joint Embassy with Albania's Repbulica in Nairobi. Kosovo should be present where it is respected and based on the heart of Africa! This embassy will be the gate of Kosovo to enter strongly on the African continent to build new political, economic and cultural alliances.
I would like to express my gratitude for my close associate, Jethlir Zyberaj, who has been constantly the eye and my ear not only in this important process for Kosovo.
A special thanks I want to ask Albania, President Begaj and Prime Minister Edi Rama, who have given me state support.
This is the day Kosovo was seen, heard and accepted. This is the day when our people should feel the pride of a victory without the price of international recognition of our country.
Thank you Kenya! Thank you, President Ruto. Praise Kosovo and its proud citizens!
