Osman thanks Pacolli for the Kenya recognition, says that even “I've had important meetings with them”

President Vjosa Osmani has reacted after Behgjet Pacolli announced that Kenya has recognised Kosovo's independence, writes Periscope.

Through a post in her Facebook account, Osman has thanked Pacolli for his continued commitment and contribution to the process.

But Osman did not forget to give credit to himself for this achievement, saying that this too has had important meetings with them.

The Republic of Kosovo welcomes the Kenyan Republic's decision to recognise Kosovo as an independent and sovereign state, through the decision signed by President Ruto officially submitted to the Presidencys.
This recognition is a testimony to continued support for Kosovo's people's right to freedom, independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity. At the same time, it is also recognition of the long suffering and the centuries-old sacrifice of the people of Kosovo for freedom.
In the name of Kosovo institutions and citizens, I express sincere thanks to Kenya's president, William Ruto, for this fair and important decision, as well as to Kenyan institutions and citizens who supported this big diplomatic step.
Over the years, I have held several important meetings with him, and in which recognition of Kosovo has been the main topic of discussions. President Ruto repeatedly assured the people of Kosovo that the decision to recognise will be made soon, given international law and the long sacrifice of our people.
A special appreciation goes to all who contributed to this process. Special thanks for the continued engagement of former President and former Kosovo Foreign Minister Behgjet Pacolli.
Kosovo continues to move forward on its path to integration and empowering its international position.
Relations between Kosovo and Kenya will deepen in different areas, so we expect to establish diplomatic relations very soon, building a strong and long-term partnership between two states and our peoples.
