Osman before Latvian President: EU get a clear response to Serbia

President Vjosa Osmani has said the European Union must have a clear answer to Serbia and its destabilising actions towards Kosovo and the region, Periscopi broadcasts. “While the state and our region still face destabilising actions of Serbia is important that the EU have a clear response to such actions [...]
Until the state and our region still face destabilising actions of Serbia is important that the EU have a clear response to such actions aimed at turning our region towards past and conflict. Kosovo has done its best to contribute to regional stability, despite the fact that we have constantly had attacks from Serbia to the north with the clear intention of annexing our territory, according to the Russian model of annexation. We have successfully met these goals through our police forces and with the support of allies. But it is important to have responsibility for Serbia both for these attacks and for the attack on NATO soldiers in May 2023 because lack of responsibility is only encouraging Serbia to continue using violence in our region”.
Osmani made this statement by speaking at a joint conference with Latvia President Edgars Renkzevics.
At today's meeting we also discussed opportunities to expand co-operation in various areas, including defence, as well as joint commitment to expansion and advancement of defence capacities. As a result of the new security challenges, we also discussed modalities for Kosovo to contribute actively to common goals in the area of security for our continent. Kosovo remains a partner dedicated to global security, and that is evidenced by support for Ukraine”.
