In this regard, Albanian Education Minister Ogerta Manastirliu has announced through a media conference.
We have developed extensive consultations with parents, for children's safety in the digital environment and the effects that bring to the psycho-emotional state of children social networking platforms. They were for closing or limiting for TikTok. We have recommended closing or limiting access for 12 months, which will allow us time for taking measures in co-ordination with the representatives of TikTok”, Manastirliu said.
The minister said it is a decision that focuses children's interest and public security on the digital environment.
