The Kosovo Embassy in Skopje reports that the new border regime between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Northern Macedonia will be operated in mid-April 2025.
The report reportedly has been made with the aim of final technical and logistical preparations of the “teams, which are intensively working on implementing this important interstate agreement”.
The announcement stresses that the new border regime will be under the <x0 use-intervention model”, where controls will only be realised at the entrance by respective police and state, while police will work at a joint facility.
“Its implementation will be lived parallel at border points Hani of Elez/Blace and Grloboqica/Jazhinca. This model is expected to reduce expectations and is in the function of facilitating the circulation of the citizens of the two states that circulate each and every time in the two directions”, the report says./Periscopi/
