The US has launched a nuclear and powerful “flight of air attacks on the Houth rebels in Yemen, President Donald Trump has said, citing the group's attacks on ships on the Red Sea as a reason.
Iran-funded “bandits Houthi have fired rockets on American planes and targeted our troops and allies”, Trump wrote on his social platform “Real”, adding that their “pirateria, violence and terrorism” had cost <x6milliarda $1<87> and had put lives at risk.
The health ministry, led by Houthi, said at least 31 people were killed and another 101 were injured in the attacks.
The group who started aiming for ships in response to the Israeli-Haams war in Gaza said its forces would respond to US attacks.
Houthi reported a series of explosions Saturday evening in Sana and the northern province of Saada ʹ the rebels at the Saudi Arabia border.
Iran-backed rebel group, which considers Israel its enemy, controls Sanaan and Yemen's northwest, but is not the country's internationally recognised government.
Unverified images show black smoke storms over the Sana éa airport area, which includes a military facility.
In a statement, Houthi blamed the United States and the United Kingdom for the evil “aggression” aimed at areas inhabited in Yemen's capital, Sana CHA, although it is clear that Great Britain did not participate in Saturday's attacks against Houthi targets, but it offered routine support for the US fuel supply.
