The Kosovo Commission Association Board has come out in response to the warning of rising electricity prices.
The issued response reportedly will be an additional burden for Kosovo families, as well as for the private sector.
This decision comes after increasing property tax, following the re-evaluation of property that was made by the Ministry of Labour and Transferences, has burdened the budget of citizens and businesses that have affected the local economy in Kosovo's”.
Moreover, the implementation of taxes on agricultural land has begun, creating another challenge for farmers and the agri-industrial sector, which are one of the country's main pillars of economic development”, the AKK Board announced.
Others, in response, add that combining these three factors: increasing energy prices, increasing property tax and agricultural land tax, will negatively affect the well-being of citizens, increasing the cost of living and making it difficult to develop businesses that have a direct impact on local economic development.
The AKK requires an inter-institute but more balanced co-ordination in order not to further damage economic stability and preserve the country's overall economic well-being and local government itself./Periscopi/
