KKP and ZKPS: We encourage and support Special Prosecutor for the realisation of her duties and legal responsibilities to strengthen order and law in our country
Pristina 4 March 2025
On the case of today's public statements, given by Prime Minister Albin Kurti, for his failure to present himself to the Special Prosecutor to testify in the quality of the witness, in terms of allegations of misuse of state reserves, even though the Constitutional Court in Pristina had issued orders for his presentation to the prosecutor, the Prosecutor's Council and the Office of the Chief State Office, recall that law enforcement cannot be misinterpreted according to the tastes, daily interests and needs of the prime minister in office, giving statements outside the basic principles of the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
According to the KKP and the State Prosecutor, these statements constitute only his personal views and views of rule of law, because actions for law enforcement are obligation, not only to the prosecutorial system, but also to the prime minister, government, but also to any other institution and citizens of the country.
KKP and Z The KKP points out that statements made by Prime Minister Kurti consistently seriously undermine the functioning of democratic institutions and are aimed at mini-entering the State Prosecutor in efforts to strengthen the rule of law in the Republic of Kosovo.
No matter what efforts to deregulate the constitutional organs on the part of Prime Minister Kurti, the KKP and the State Prosecutor strongly encourage and strongly support the Special Prosecutor for the implementation of its duties and legal responsibilities, such as the investigation, prosecution and lighting of every criminal case that falls into its competence, in order to establish morality and strengthen the obligation to respect the law in our country.
