Jasharaj: If there is dialogue with Government, there are protests and strikes

Jasharaj in a proposal for Front Online is demanding that the future government instead be much more co-operative with trade unions, listening to and addressing their demands fairly.

Whatever government is made up of the coalition of political subjects, even the Government with a party I wish would never happen again because when a party has all the power of the Government, it is somehow behaving incorrectly, but we wish to have a Government who wants dialogue and supports trade unions, Jasharaj said.

He has further expressed his concern for delays in the count of the February 9th elections, stressing that this situation is directly affecting the delay in the constitutionalisation of Kosovo's new institutions.

According to him, any procrastination in this process creates additional problems for the country and the public sector

This delay in counting the February nineth election votes will be delayed, as seems to be the institution of Kosovo, and any delay then presents additional problems for the country, and especially for the public sector, he said.

Jasharaj has criticised past Government, noting the lack of co-operation and dialogue with trade unions over the past four years.

He has declared that the SBASK has failed to reach any agreement or positive results with the outgoing Government because of its poor approach to workers' demands and continued refusal to develop a genuine social dialogue.

Jasharaj hopes that new institutions will be created as soon as possible, with an opener and better approach to the voice of workers, both in the public sector and in private.

We even had no good news during the four years of Kurti Government, nor any agreement with Government, because they have consistently had access against dialogue to the wrong approach to our demands and the public sector as a whole. May institutions be created as soon as possible in the desire to have institutions that will understand the voice of workers in either the public or private sector, Jasharaj said.

Unions Seek Cofficiency Growth

One of the main requirements of the SBASK remains the signing of the collective contract, an important document for the protection of workers' rights, which is now missing for five years. In addition to collective contract, SBASK will continue to seek increased wage cofficiency value

Our primary demands, which we have also protested, are collective contracts, because surprisingly our state is marked for the worse by other countries in the Balkans and Europe because we don't even have collective agreements at the country level now four or five years, so our first commitment to any government that forms will be the contract. It is natural that we will constantly seek a rise in the value of the coefytor, said SBASK chairman Nundman Jasharaj.

Rashman Jasharaj, head of the SBASK, has warned that if the new government does not engage in a genuine dialogue and does not take into account trade unions' demands, the SBASK does not rule out the possibility of union action, including protests and strikes.

He has stressed that any decision will be made in co-ordination with union membership, following their will to protect workers' rights and interests.

We hope to have a Government that loves dialogue and supports trade unions to not have reason for syndical action, but if that doesn't happen, it remains a firm membership because we act according to the voice of membership and when there is no dialogue and then there are protests and strikes which we cannot expel because it depends on the incoming government, Jasharaj concluded.
