Kosovo's Institute for Justice expert (IKD), Naim Jaka, has stated that political parties are obliged to publish unabated financial reports, but their spending on the election campaign does not match official statements, Periskopi reports. According to him, reports show parties have spent much on their electoral activities, while some of the expenditures remain undeclared.
The political parties have spent a lot of time in the campaign. There are high-cost activities, but they are not declared because they cannot be covered with reported funds”, Jaka stressed at Tv Dukaagjini.
He noted that only 110 candidates from each party report expenses of over 10,000 euros, which suggests that real figures are higher.
“Numrates do not match what parties report along with numerous developed activities, including the logistics of holding gatherings”, he added.
Jaka also underlined that official funds are not enough to cover visits to diaspora and major party activities like the Vetevendosje Movement or the Democratic Party of Kosovo.
There are more activities than I did in, while real expenses cannot be reasoned with the declared” funds, he concluded.
