Twelve-hour meeting, Russian negotiator: US-Russia talks on Ukraine were useful, United Nations to be included

Talks between the United States and Russia for a partial ceasefire in Ukraine were “intensive”, but useful, a member of Russia's negotiating team said. “We talked about everything, it was an intensive dialogue, not an easy one, but very useful one for us and for Americans”, Grigory Karass told the state agency [...]
“We talked about everything, it was an intensive dialogue, not an easy but very useful one for us and for Americans”, Grigory Karass told state news agency TASS on Tuesday.
“Many problems were clarified”, he added.
Karasin, who was Russia's longtime deputy foreign minister, said the US-Russia talks would continue and that the United Nations and other countries would be involved. He didn't say details about it, writes Radio Free Europe.
He made these comments one day of a 12-hour meeting between the two countries in Saudi Arabia, the place where the talks are under way.
As the talks were under way in Riyadh, Russia rocketed the Ukrainian town of Sumi, wounding more than 90 people, including 23 children.
Ukraine's president, Voldymyr Zelensky, condemned the attack, saying that this is the freshest example of “loss, pain and destruction, something Ukraine never loved.
Zelensky said Russia is the only “side that is extending this war and torturing both our people and the entire world”, followed. Periscope.
“To force Russia to make peace, decisive measures and decisive actions” are needed, he said in his video news release.
“We are ready to support any powerful initiative that makes diplomacy more effective”, he added.
Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Andriy Syhbiza, wrote on the X that the March 24th attack on Sumi showed that Moscow's words for peace are “bose”.
Even the Russian side reported an attack. A Russian official in the region was occupied by Ukrainian Luhansk, said Ukrainian bombings killed six people there, including a journalist from the Russian newspaper Izvestia.
The pro-Kremlin newspaper identified the journalist as Alexander Fedorchak, saying he was killed “in the Harkivi region.” The Russian Channel Ziesda, sponsored by the Ministry of Defence, reported that the cameraman and his driver were killed while shooting a report with Fedocak.
Talks in Saudi Arabia are part of the United States President Donald Trump's effort to end the war in Ukraine.
The US-Russia meeting on Monday took place a day after separate talks between the US and Ukraine also took place in Saudi Arabia, which Kiev called “exploitative”.
Serhiy Lechenko, adviser to the Ukrainian presidency, said the Ukrainian delegation stayed in Riyadh and expects to meet with Americans again. Zelensky said in his night speech that representatives from Ukraine and the US will meet again, but did not give an exact date.
An unidentified source in the Russian delegation was quoted by TASS, saying the Kremlin and the White House will publish a joint statement on March 25th.
Reuters quoted a Russian source as saying that a draft of the joint declaration was sent to Moscow and Washington for approval and that both sides intend to release it on 25 March.
Trump told reporters at the White House that the territorial borders and the possibility of American ownership over Zaporija nuclear power plant in southern Ukraine were part of the talks.
Last week, Trump cited the idea of the US taking over the plant, which was seized by Russia at the beginning of the war.
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said talks between Moscow and Washington were focused on technical issues, including trade transport security in the Black Sea region.
