Jonathan Hargreaves, British ambassador to Pristina, said this is an important moment for Kosovo to strengthen inter-institutional co-operation for investigation and prosecution.
Ardian Hajdaraj, chairman of the Prosecutorial Council, said that through this co-operation the capacities of security institutions would be strengthened.
Your “I am faithful that this co-operation will strengthen the capabilities of the Special Prosecutor and the Kosovo Police. On pledge that we will ensure co-operation with all institutions, we thank you for this co-operation”, Hajdaraj said.
While police director Gazmend Hoxha also indicated how he would support the joint teams in investigating serious crimes.
<x0) Such teams will help strengthen co-ordination between institutions. Teams will be engaged in investigating serious crimes, which require co-operation among institutions to achieve rapid results. This will also enable the support of international investigations affecting our citizens. We will provide the training and support necessary for the new teams. We are aware that crime and corruption require common commitment, so joint teams are opportunities for strengthening trust in institutions and to ensure that those who violate the law will take responsibility”, he added.
While ATK said joint investigative teams would help in the fight against corruption.
