Government Costs Increase, That's How Much

According to the AKS, during the TM4 2024, government spending reached 1,134m euros, while at the same time in 2023 it was 1.062m euros.
On the other hand, government revenues also marked an increase, reaching 941.6m euros from 806.5m euros at TM4 2023.
Product taxes remain the main source of revenues, contributing 67% of the total, followed by income taxes of 13%, activities and financial obligations by 12%, while the rest comes from other categories.
In terms of spending, the majority make up social contributions and benefits by 24%, investments in gross capital formation by 22%, compensation for workers by 18%, while inter-sumption accounts for 14%.
The rest of the spending is divided into different categories.
