The ministry highlighted some factors that have contributed to the stabilisation of tariffs, despite market pressure, as it is: Kosovo Energy Corporation (KEK) has not increased electricity sales prices, and its production rose by 7% in 2024: Between 2022 and 2024, electricity imports have been reduced by 3.3% on average, while from 2017 to 2021 there was an average annual increase of 18.1% and: Growth of household consumption, which between 2017-2021 was 7.2% per year, has dropped to only 0.2% thanks to investments in efficiency and the return of the bloc.
However, the ministry warns that some factors continue to present challenges for the country's electromagnetic system, such as the rise in import price and T rehabilitation C Kosova B.
The economy ministry underlines that in addition to the rehabilitation of TC Kosova B, energy investments include expanding generation capacities from the wind and the sun, installing batteries for energy storage, as well as developing new central heating systems in several cities.
The approach to the communique points out that the government, with the support of the European Union, has invested over 35m euros in projects to increase energy efficiency, aiming to reduce dependence on import and reduce air pollution.
