Trump said he would respond to the 25% extension of Ontario for electricity in New York, Minnesota and Michigan with a 25% fee for Canadian electricity. This may increase costs for Americans, especially in the northern states that rely on energy from Canada.
Ontario's additional fee, announced Monday, threatens to raise bills by $100 a month, said Ontario head Doug Ford.
