Orar voiced hope that Kosovo's new government will be formed as soon as possible and be a stable government ready for co-operation with international partners.
According to him, Peter Sorensen, who was named EU Special Representative just a month ago, began his first visit to the region right in Kosovo.
The purpose of his visit was more hearing and meeting with all political actors, civil society and the business community to understand the situation and future steps”, Orar said.
He added that Sorensen did not come with any concrete offer or proposals, but intends to do the same in Belgrade to determine further direction of dialogue.
The EU ambassador stressed that the EU enlargement policy has been strongly restored and that Kosovo must be ready to meet the criteria needed for membership. “92% of Kosovo citizens support EU membership and expect concrete steps from the government to advance this process”, Orar said, emphasising the importance of reforms in rule of law, economy and the environment. /Periscopi/
