Waltz's comments follow an article published by the magazine “The Atlantic” who points out that the editor-in-chief, Jeffrey Goldberg, had accidentally been added to a conversation involving 18 senior American administration officials. This group was discussing details about an air strike on Yemen.
Goldberg explained that he was added to a group on the private message app, Signal, where some important administration officials were present as vice president JD Vance, Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth and Secretary of State Marco Rubio. They were discussing the strategy for attacking the Houthi forces in Yemen.
In a reaction Tuesday, President Trump downplayed the incident, saying it was “the only defect in his administration's two months”, following criticism from the democrat lawmakers for the way to handle sensitive information. /Periscope/
