Germany's Emisari for the Western Balkans, Manuel Sarrazin, in an interview recently given, has also talked about Kosovo-Serbia dialogue and the country's new government.
Sarrazin has initially said that Peter Sorensen, the new European emissary for Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, will advance this process.
He has added from the talks he had with him, made a good impression, and that Sorensen “will surely put new emphasis on the dialog”.
“Peter Sörensen, the new EU special in charge of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, will advance this process. The first talks we've been holding have made a very good impression on him as a person. He will surely put new emphasis on dialogue. At the same time, Sörensen will surely try, with a professionally persistent job to achieve access between the two countries.
It happened in the past that Germany, but I ourselves, had an essential task to support the work of European institutions and the chief European negotiator. In the coming weeks and months, we will co-operate closely in this direction. This applies to the next federal government. Germany supports the European approach in dialogue as well as the approach of people who interact with it. I hope that even there is now substantial work. It is now important to work hard for solutions. Mr. Sörensen is the right person for this task” He told Sarraz about it. “Deutsche Welle”.
Sarrazin has said that they want the new Government to be created as soon as possible in Kosovo, and actively engage in dialogue.
“We have to wait, what further political developments in the Republic of Kosovo will be like. We would like the new government to be established soon and it to actively engage in dialogue. We expect that from Serbia as well.
But it is not us who decide how the government will be created in the Republic of Kosovo. It's a decision that Kosovo makes” The German emissary expressed himself during this interview.
