According to the report, the gross production of electricity from all sources in January was 634.73 GWh, marking a slight drop of 0.54% compared to January 2024.
Of this amount, 575.21 GWh was produced by thermal power plants, 17.89 GWh from hydropower plants and 41.62 GWh from alternative sources like wind and solar panels.
On the other hand, electricity consumption in January 2025 reached 664.4 GWh, an increase of 11.41% compared to the same month in the preceding year. To meet high energy demand, Kosovo has imported 410.15 GWh, while exporting 159.68 GWh in the same period.
The report also notes that the participation of alternative energy in consumption has reached 8.96%, indicating a moderate increase in renewable resource use.
